The idea behind One. began not in a meeting room, but on the beach in Masnou, where a simple conversation turned into a different way of selling homes.

One.Homes began almost by accident one afternoon on the beach in Masnou, in El Maresme. Lars and Alex had met for a casual drink by the sea, and the conversation drifted from life in Barcelona to work. Before long they found themselves deep in a discussion about real estate, and it quickly became clear that although they came from different backgrounds, they shared the same frustrations about how the industry often worked.

Alex had been running his own boutique real estate agency in Barcelona for more than ten years, giving him deep knowledge of the local market and the sales process. Lars had spent many years building a real estate marketing company based out of New York, helping properties stand out through branding, design and storytelling. Between them, they had seen the same pattern again and again: homes rushed onto the market, poor presentation, confusing pricing and very little real strategy behind the sale. Sitting there on the beach, the conversation naturally turned to a simple question: what if it was done differently?

That afternoon planted the seed for the agency. With more than thirty years of combined experience across real estate, design and marketing, they created One.Homes to bring those worlds together. The idea was to treat every home as if it were its own product, carefully prepared, staged, photographed, filmed and presented with a clear narrative so buyers can truly understand what makes it special. They also wanted to rethink the relationship between agents and sellers, introducing the 5–4–3 percent commission model, a transparent structure designed to reward collaboration while giving sellers more freedom and control.

From Barcelona to the Maresme, the mission has remained the same: to sell homes faster, at stronger prices and with less stress for sellers. One.Homes is not about volume, it is about honesty, care, creativity and results. Because when it comes to selling your home, you only need One.

Lars E. Bye

Head of Marketing and Business Development - lars@one.homes

Lars has been in the real estate industry for 22 years, serving for many years as the chief marketing officer for a number of brokerages. He oversaw more than 50 offices nationwide in Norway. Later, he founded an agency specializing in real estate marketing. Over the past 10 years, he and his team have been involved in over 30,000 real estate transactions in Norway, the United States, and Spain.

Lars's primary focus has been assisting agents in selling more properties. He has been involved in transactions ranging from lower-priced rentals to ultra-luxury properties worth up to $75 million. With extensive experience in real estate marketing, Lars has aided hundreds of agents in achieving success in the industry. He has also contributed to the marketing of some of the largest residential buildings in Brooklyn, New York. At one point, his team produced over 800 unique 360-degree renderings for a single project.

In his role, Lars is actively engaged in the branding and sales of properties, applying his expertise in marketing, neuroscience, and leadership development to his daily work.

Alex Gordon

Head of Sales and Operations - alex@one.homes

Over a decade experience in the real estate industry, he is an expert on pricing, negotiation and closing. As a licensed real estate agent, property investor, manager and developer he has first hand knowledge of the nuances of the local real estate market in Barcelona.

Alex originally moved to Barcelona as a professional tennis player, and he brings that same competitive nature and work ethic to helping his clients reach their goals. In an industry that lacks transparency he always prides himself on honesty, integrity and professionalism while advocating for his clients best interests. He firmly believes in consistency while nurturing relationships with other professionals in his industry.

Creative, motivator and results driven his role is to lead the sales team. “If you want to succeed in the real estate industry you always need to be ready to find quick solutions for complex problems.”
